The Shaker Kitchen
The Shaker kitchens appeal to anyone who appreciates fine English cabinetry, simple style with a nod towards the country farm kitchens that we all love.
This Style is versitile and originates from the ‘Shakers’ who were keen craftspeople. They were known for their high quality of workmanship and made a variety of items of furniture.
Quality principles...
We put time and care in to designing, making, painting and fitting all our kitchens. We care about good quality design and we want every Willis & Stone kitchen and furniture to meet your needs as well as upholding our own principles of quality, practicality and style.

A little more about Willis
& Stone Kitchens
We supply fully assembled solid wood kitchens in modular form which can be combined with any appliances to make a stunning fitted kitchen. Our kitchens are made of solid wood throughout including frames, no chipboard is used and all joints are mortised or dovetailed. All of our doors are hung within the kitchen cabinets – often known as “in frame”, and our drawers sit on high quality heavy duty, hidden, soft close runners.
Appliances
We work closely with our chosen appliance manufacturers, Bertazzoni and AEG who have a great range of market leading appliances. We can make Kitchens to suit any appliances and are able to source most manufacturers products if you have a specific requirement.
Pricing Guide
Initially before you become too involved you will want an idea of the cost. As a rough guide an average Willis & Stone kitchen would cost from around
- £9k to £16k for a smaller space
- £16k to £22k for a medium space
- £24k+ for a larger space
This includes cabinetry, our standard handles and quartz or oak worktops. To this should be added the cost of fitting. This is considerably less than normal as units arrive ready to install, so no building / searching for missing parts etc is involved. Usually if the builder is involved with attendant plumbers / tilers and electricians there is no need for a specialist fitter. Customers can fit their own kitchens with occasional help from family/friends.
How it works
Our 6 steps to your dream kitchen
1. Make an Enquiry
Post or e-mail us a plan, including your contact number. The plans don’t have to be anything too technical, just an outline of the room dimensions, including locations of doors and windows, and as much idea as you have of where you’d like the units to go. Obviously, the more detail you give about size of units, the more accurate the quote will be, but that’s as much detail as we need. This is a great time to show us pictures of what inspires you; we encourage our customers to send pictures and designs that they like which we find really helpful with visualising exactly what colours and themes you like.
2. Guide Estimate
Once we receive your enquiry, we will then send you through a guide estimate via email or post.
3. Consultation
If you like the look of the estimate then the next stage is for us to organise a convenient date for us to come and visit you. We can then introduce ourselves properly, measure up and talk about the project in more detail.
4. Design phase
After our meeting we will then put together designs for you to have a look at for reference*
*There is a small deposit fee of £100 for this service which is then deducted from your final bill if you decide you would like to go ahead with us.
5. Review and amend
Once you have had a chance to look at the scale designs and make any changes, we will review the detailed designs and talk through any additional ideas. This is where we can discuss if you would like to remove a shelf or two or pick a different colour and finish. We will then amend our estimate accordingly and give a fixed quote for your new kitchen.
This price will include all units with worktops. There are no hidden costs. We don’t supply cookers or other appliances but will build our units around the ones you choose. You will also receive written confirmation of the quote. If you decide you’d like to proceed and place the order we require a 25% deposit, the balance is due on or prior to the day the kitchen is delivered.
6. Project starts
Once we’ve arranged a start project date and time with you, we will send you through a confirmation email. We always make sure that we are in contact with our clients so they always know what stage we are at in the design and build process, supporting them every step of the way.
